Bellcore's view of proposed generic requirements for the use of Signaling System No. 7 (specifically, the ISDNU User Part) for call control at an end-office or tandem to support operator services calls. The following functions are supported: the establishment and release of connections between an end-office and an Operator Services System to support toll and assistance services, listing services and intercept services; connection hold (operator system hold), coin control and network recall (flash) signaling. Also included are proposed generic requirements pertinent to Exchange Access operator services, ISDN access to operator services and interworking with AIN services
