Provides Bellcore's view of proposed generic requirements for telecommunications cables intended primarily for unpressurized use in commercial and telephone company buildings. These cables shall be listed under the 1987 National Electrical Code, Section 800-3(b), Type CMR, as meeting fire resistance requirements for use in vertical shafts and shall be marked to indicate compliance.
