Contains Bellcore's proposed generic requirements for ISDN common switching and signaling features. This document describes Bellcore's view of the evolution from Public Switched Telephone Network features to ISDN features. Provides assumptions about assigning the ISDN features. Also describes signaling protocol used in ISDN feature requirements for providing feature control and information. These include dial access, information request, feature key management, and terminal identification. Additional protocol is also described.
