TR TSY 000926 : ISSUE 1

This TR contains Bellcore's view of proposed generic requirements for Public Packet Switched Network (PPSN) dial-in and dial-out service, based on CCITT Recommendation X.32 that defines the provision of packet mode X.25 service from or to a Packet Switched Public Data Network via a circuit switched network. This includes both user initiated (dial-in) and network initiated (dial-out) service. Major topics covered are DTE identity, DTE identification methods and levels of service, as they are supported in the PPSN. The generic requirements in this TR are also based on and extend those for nonidentification and identified dial-in service contained in Section 3 of TR TSY-000301, Issue 2, Public Packet Switched Network Generic Requirements (PPSNGR). This TR also includes new generic requirements for additional X.32 services.
