Diese TRGS gilt für Tätigkeiten der schweisstechnischen Praxis wie Schweissen, Schneiden und verwandten Verfahren an metallischen Werkstoffen, bei denen gas- und partikelförmige Gefahrstoffe entstehen können. Diese Stoffe werden in der Praxis auch als Schadstoffe bezeichnet.
