These requirements cover household motor-operated food preparing machines and kitchen accessories such as knife sharpeners and can openers, that are intended to be operated for short-periods of time resulting in cumulative use-time per year of less than 100 hours and that are for use in accordance with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70.
