This report is intended to provide a guide for the verification and inspection of low voltage electrical installations in the garages that are the subject of GUIDE BT-29 of the 2002 REBT:
-ð facilitating a methodology for verification / inspection; and
-ð providing documentation for the recording of conditions and values of verification / inspection (observed non-conformities, damage, deterioration and dangerous conditions, etc.).
Note: In the preparation of this UNE report it has been considered that maintaining adequate ventilation is an indispensable requirement to guarantee the safety of the facilities in garages. For this reason, this UNE report does not contemplate the case where the ventilation does not comply with the values established in the GUIDE BT-29 of the REBT of 2002 as this would entail the necessity of using specific material for explosive atmospheres.
The results of the checks / inspections shall define the corrective actions to be performed to comply with the minimum safety requirements for this type of installation.
This report applies to pre-commissioning and initial inspections, as well as initial, periodic, and voluntary inspections.
It is also applicable to all verifications carried out during the execution and completion of the installation by the designer, installer and / or construction manager.
Garages may be located inside other enclosures or annexes thereto, the electrical installations of which may be affected by particular ITC-BT of the 2002 REBT. Two cases stand out:
" In the event that the garage is in a public place (eg a shopping center or a hospital) or when the garage is itself a public place of business (e.g. public garages) this UNE report applies without Need to complement it with UNE Report 202009-28.
" In the event that the garage is inside an enclosure to which other ITC-BTs are applied (e.g. in the case of residential buildings or industrial installations), for these installations, the UNE Reports The most restrictive requirements.
Garages may include special purpose installations whose electrical installations are affected by particular ITC-BT (e.g. outdoor lighting, etc.). For these installations, the corresponding UNE reports shall also be used and the most restrictive requirements applied, where appropriate.
Garages may also be located in the open, in which case the UNE 202009-30 IN report shall also be used and the most restrictive requirements applied
