This standard specifies the characteristics, design, manufacturing, supply and tests that single-pole HV cables (and cable systems) with rated voltage 26/45 (52) kV, 36/66 ( 72.5) kV, 64/110 (123) kV, 76/132 (145) kV and 87/150 (170) kV with dry cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation and polyolefin or polyethylene sheath shall meet.Type tests on the cable system (cable and accessory) are optional for voltages below 76/132 (145) kV.The cable types in this part of the standard are:Type 1: Cable with a polyolefin or polyethylene compound sheath, without special properties against reaction to fire.Type 2: Cable with a polyolefin compound sheath with low halogen content and special properties against reaction to fire. The minimum class of reaction to fire is Eca.Type 3: Cable with a polyolefin compound sheath with low halogen content and special properties against reaction to fire. The minimum fire reaction class is Cca-s1b,d2,a1.The definition of the performance regarding the reaction to fire of the cables object of this standard has been made in accordance with the Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/364 of the Commission, of July 1, 2015, regarding the classification of the properties reaction to fire of construction products in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
