This document specifies the systems and technical requirements to be used during the installation of windows on site, offering security to the end user and assuring the performance of the window during its lifetime. This document is to be applied on windows (including and French windows and roof windows) and external pedestrian doorsets, whatever the material they are made of, as defined in the European Standard EN 12519, and whatever it is the type of site and the situation of the window in the wall where it will be fitted. This document is to be applied on windows for new buildings and refurbishment.This standard does not apply to:- Fire resisting and/or smoke control characteristics for windows and doors- Rooflights- Roof coverings- Windows and external pedestrial doorsets in escape routes- Structural windows
