This European Standard specifies requirements and test methods for durability, strength, security and function of hardware for Lift and Slide windows and door height windows in accordance with common application as shown in informative Annex C, regardless of whether the hardware enables an additional tilt position.NOTE 1 This Standard is also applicable to hardware systems, whereby the sash itself is not lifted but a gasket mechanism is moved.NOTE 2 This Standard is also applicable to hardware systems, whereby the sash itself is not lifted but the sash is being moved parallel to the plane of the frame.
