use of this standard
Provides guidance on imperfection levels in electron and laser beam welded steel joints. Three levels are supplied in order to allow application for a wide range of welded fabrications. The levels refer to production quality, and not to fitness-for-purpose of the manufactured product. Does not include metallurgical aspects, such as grain size and hardness.
