UNE-EN ISO 3691-2:2016

This part of ISO 3691 gives safety requirements and the means for their verification for self-propelled, seated rider operated, industrial variable-reach trucks as defined by DIS/ ISO 5053-1 industrial variable-reach trucks (2.21), industrial variable-reach container handler (2.24)-(hereafter referred to as trucks), equipped with load-handling devices for normal industrial duties (e.g. fork arms or container handling means), or with attachments for specified applications mounted directly on non-slewing lifting means or an auxiliary mast fixed at the end of the lifting means.This part of ISO 3691-2 is not applicable to ¾ð- rough-terrain variable-reach trucks,¾ð- rough-terrain variable-reach trucks for handling containers¾ð- machines designed primarily for earth-moving, such as loaders and dozers, even when their buckets and blades are replaced with forks,¾ð- machines from which the load can swing freely in all directions.Regional requirements, additional to the requirements given in this part of ISO 3691-2, are addressed in ISO/TS 3691-7.This part of ISO 3691 deals with significant hazards, hazardous situations or hazardous events, as listed in Annex B, with the exception of the following, relevant to the applicable machines when used as intended and under conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer.It does not establish requirements for hazards that can occur¾ð- during construction,¾ð- when using trucks on public roads,¾ð- when operating in potentially explosive atmospheres,¾ð- when lifting persons.NOTE 1For the purposes of this part of ISO 3691, fork arms and integrated attachments are considered to be parts of the industrial truck. Attachments mounted on the load carrier or on the fork arms which are removable by the user are not considered to be part of the industrial truck. Requirements for attachments are given in the appropriate clauses.
