This part of ISO 6789 specifies the conformance testing and marking requirements to be followed by designers and manufacturers of hand torque tools used for controlled tightening of screws and nuts. It also specifies the minimum requirements for calibration and calibration certificates of hand torque tools.This part of ISO 6789 applies to torque tools in accordance with Clause 4, in particular to indicating torque tools (Type I) and setting torque tools (Type II) in accordance with ISO 1703:2005, designations 6 1 00 11 0, 6 1 00 11 1 and 6 1 00 12 0, 6 1 00 12 1 (old numbers 258 and 259).NOTEThis part of the standard deals with the deviation and very basic uncertainties only. Additional components of measurement uncertainty are described in part 2.
