Part 4-41 of IEC 60364 specifies essential requirements regarding protection against electric 172 shock, including basic protection (protection against direct contact) and fault protection 173 (protection against indirect contact) of persons and livestock. It deals also with the application 174 and co-ordination of these requirements in relation to external influences.
