La norma tratta dei dosimetri personali a termoluminescenza e delle specifiche per la misurazione della grandezza dosimetrica appropriata e riporta specifiche sulla loro classificazione e sui requisiti di adeguatezza. Riguarda dosimetri per fotoni con energia massima fra 15 keV e 3 MeV e radiazioni beta con energia massima tra 0,5 MeV e 3 MeV e per un intervallo di dose tra 1 mGy e 1 Gy.
