The standard covers all significant hazards, situations and hazardous events pertaining to the design and construction of internal mixers during all phases of the machine's life cycle, regardless of their size and the control mode of the front door and the door hopper discharge, for production and laboratory applications when the machines are used as intended and under conditions of improper use that are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer.
