La norma specifica le caratteristiche e i requisiti prestazionali degli elementi per muratura di calcestruzzo aerato autoclavato (AAC) le cui principali destinazioni d'uso sono differenti tipi di applicazioni strutturali e non strutturali in tutte le forme di costruzioni murarie inclusi muri a parete semplice, cavità, tramezzi, muri di sostegno, basamenti e impieghi sotterranei, compresi muri che possono fornire protezione all'incendio, isolamento termico, isolamento acustico e muratura esterna dei camini (esclusi i condotti dei camini). Include inoltre i requisiti di marcatura.
