A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

La norma specifica gli elementi da utilizzare per verificare la sicurezza dei dispositivi sicuri di crittografia che prevedono processi di crittografia, come specificato nelle norme ISO 9564, UNI EN ISO 9807 e ISO 11568, nei sistemi per carte a banda magnetica. Questa parte della norma non considera i problemi legati al rifiuto (denial of service) da parte del dispositivo.
