A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

La norma stabilisce le procedure per determinare il contenuto di ferro solubile in acido mediante spettrometria ad assorbimento atomico o mediante spettrometria di emissione al plasma. Essa è applicabile a tutti i tipi di carta, cartone e pasta. Argomenti analoghi a quelli trattati dalla presente norma erano contenuti nella UNI 8164:1981.
