Diese Norm gilt für batterieelektrisch betriebene Flurförderzeuge mit einer Tragfähigkeit bis höchstens 10000 kg und Schlepper mit höchstens 20000 N Zugkraft. Als Flurförderzeuge im Sinne dieser Norm gelten alle kraftbetriebenen Fördermittel auf Rädern - ausser Gleisfahrzeugen -, die ihrer Bauart nach dem Befördern, Ziehen, Schieben, Heben, Stapeln oder In-Regale-Einlagern von Lasten aller Art dienen, die mitgängergeführt sind oder von einem Fahrer gelenkt werden, der auf einem eigens hierfür angebrachten, am Fahrgestell befestigten oder hebbaren Fahrerplatz sitzt oder steht.
