Die Normfrequenzen sind die Frequenzen, die anzuwenden sind für einphasige Wechselstrom- und Drehstrom-Systeme, für Anlagen auf Schiffen, für mit Wechselstrom betriebene Bahnsysteme, für Werkzeuge und für Flugzeuge. Diese Norm ist für Frequenzen bis 10 000 Hz begrenzt.
