    Dieses Blatt der IEC 60454-3 enthält die Anforderungen für selbstklebende Bänder, die aus Zelluloseacetat-butyrat-Folien mit wärmehärtender Klebstoffschicht hergestellt werden. Bandtypen, die dieser Norm entsprechen, erfüllen festgelegte Anforderungen. Allerdings sollte der Verbraucher bei der Auswahl eines Bandtyps für eine spezielle Anwendung die tatsächlichen Anforderungen berücksichtigen, die für diesen Anwendungsfall notwendig sind und nicht nur durch diese Norm erfasst werden.
