Diese Norm gilt für Näherungssensoren mit Analogausgang. Er ergänzt oder ändert die Anforderungen von DIN EN 60947-5-2 (VDE 0660 Teil 208) für Näherungsschalter mit Halbleiterschaltelementen. Die Näherungssensoren dürfen aus mehreren Teilen bestehen.
