Diese Norm gilt für leitfähige Kleidung, gleich ob aus einzelnen Kleidungsstücken zusammengesetzt oder als einteilige vollständige Kleidung, die von Elektrofachkräften bei Arbeiten an unter Spannung stehenden Teilen (insbesondere bei Arbeiten auf Potential) bis zu einer Nennspannung des Netzes von AC 800 kV oder DC +/- 600 kV getragen wird. Sie gilt für leitfähige Jacken, Hosen, Overalls (einteiliger Anzug), Handschuhe oder 3-Fingerhandschuhe, Kapuzen, Schuhe, Überschuhe und Socken.
