A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Dieser technische Bericht enthält einen Leitfaden über das beste Vorgehen zum sicheren Gebrauch von Lasereinrichtungen, die IEC 60825-1 entsprechen. Die Ausdrücke 'Lasereinrichtung' und 'Laseranlage' beziehen auch sich auf alle Geräte, Anordnungen oder Systeme, die in der Lage sind, optische Strahlung auf Grund des Prozesses der induzierten Emission auszusenden. Anders als in IEC 60825 1 sind in diesem Dokument Licht emittierende Dioden (LED) nicht eingeschlossen.
