    In der Zusammenarbeit zwischen Giesserei und Abnehmer werden die Informationen zur Geometrie zunehmend über 3D-CAD-Daten ausgetauscht. Die massliche Bemusterung von Bauteilen auf Basis dieser 3D-Dateien erfolgt über einen Soll-Ist-Vergleich, der über die Definition von Punkten oder Flächen im Raum stattfindet.
