A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

The guideline defines exact and application-specific load categories for determining the running costs of forklifts. In guideline VDI 2695, the costs per year or per hour of operation are divided into three categories depending on the load.
