Le présent document décrit un essai de laboratoire permettant de quantifier la capacité d'autocicatrisation des géosynthétiques bentonitiques (GSB). Il spécifie les méthodes d'essais destinées à déterminer les caractéristiques de gonflement, de flux, de perméabilité à l'eau ainsi que la charge hydraulique limite de claquage d'un géosynthétique bentonitique dans lequel un défaut de diamètre connu aura été pratiqué, sous contrainte normale et charge hydraulique imposées.
