Gives the port dimensions for 160 bar (16 MPa) medium series cylinders as required for interchangeability of commonly used hydraulic cylinders, allowing manufacturers freedom in design of metric cylinders while providing basic guidelines. The medium series dimensions apply to both round or square head cylinders, allowing a wider range of application. They permit larger ports with longer cushions, particularly suitable for applications requiring higher velocity and rapid decelerations. It only applies to dimensional criteria not functional characteristics.
