For multipurpose apparatus measuring other quantities this standard covers only portions and functions confirming to the foregoing applications. Does not specify details of construction, except for safety requirements of C39.5-1974. This standard: (1) defines terms; (2) classifies voltmeters according to operating principle, accuracy ratings, etc., (3) establishes requirements for conformance with accuracy rating; (4) specifies voltmeter information; (5) informs conformance with requirements and specifications.
