This Standard sets out a method for the determination of the assigned density of a Type B standard density block for use in the calibration of nuclear surface moisture-density gauges in accordance with AS 1289.5.8.4.Initial and final standard counts together with the complete calibration data for a particular depth shall be determined in one day. If a gauge has depths calibrated on different days, additional standard counts will need to be determined, at the start and end of each day of calibration.NOTE: The assigned density is independent of make and model of gauge.
