This method describes the assessment of the degree of deterioration of a metal substrate that has been coated by a paint system and exposed to weathering. It is intended as a measure of the ability of a paint system to provide corrosion protection for a metal that has been exposed to an aggressive environment.
Originated in part as part of AS K41.481.3-1962 and AS K41.481.4-1962.
