This Standard sets out the method for determining the following voids and density relationships in compacted asphalt mixes:Percentage air voids from separately determined values of bulk density and maximum density.Absorbed binder, effective binder, maximum theoretical density, voids in the mineral aggregate, and voids filled with binder where the proportions of component materials are known.

First published as part of AS 2150-1978.
Revised and redesignated AS 2891.8-1993.
