This Standard specifies the minimum requirements and provides further recommendations for the organization, staffing, operation and management of a company providing static or mobile guarding services. Appendix A specifies the requirements for custodial and escort officers. It is intended that future editions of this Standard will be expanded to include the requirement for other specific guarding operations.NOTES:1 Cognizance is made of the fact that licensed crowd controllers are part of the security industry in some States but as they are not widespread throughout Australia, they are not included in the Scope of this Standard.2 The term 'company' is used in this Standard to denote one which provides a static or mobile guarding service.
