Abstract - (Show below) - (Hide below)

Specifies a spectrophotometric method using diantipyrylmethane as a chromogen, measured spectrophotometrically at 390nm. The method can be used for the determination of titanium content between 0.005 percent and 1.20 percent in steel.

Scope - (Show below) - (Hide below)

This Standard sets out a spectrophotometric method for the determination of titanium in iron and steel. This method is applicable to the determination of titanium in all types of iron and steel containing between 0.005% and 1.20% titanium.
