This Specification specifies essential safety requirements for decorative lighting outfits as defined in Clause 4.1, with lamps or lamp holders connected with flexible cord having conductors not exceeding 2.5 mm2, designed for connection to an extra-low voltage supply or a low voltage supply not exceeding 250 V and suitable for indoor or outdoor use.For the purpose of this Specification a decorative lighting outfit is referred to as an 'outfit'.NOTE: This Specification does not apply to festoon lighting of the type described in AS 3000.
