SINGLE-PHASE RURAL DISTRIBUTION SERVICE FOR MOTORS AND PHASE CONVERTERS
01-03-2002
12-01-2013
Addresses 3.7 kW (5 hp) and larger single-phase motors and three-phase motors having phase converters, which are infrequently started (usually with less than 6 starts in 1 24-hour period, with not more than one start between 6 p.m. and midnight), which serve loads with non-pulsating power needs, such as motors for fans on crop driers, feed grinders, silo unloaders, irrigation pumps and auger feeders. Does not include motors for pulsating loads and frequently-started loads, eg deep-well piston pump motors, reciprocating compressors, rock crushers, stamping machines, automatically controlled water pumps and refrigeration systems.
