1.1This specification covers carbon fiber reinforced thermoset matrix composite core strength members for use in reinforcing or supporting overhead electrical conductors.

1.2This specification covers carbon fiber core diameters from 0.180 to 0.500 in. [4.57 to 12.7 mm], inclusive.

1.3The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard.
