Applies to electrically operated commercial multi-purpose cooking pans. The electrical part of appliances making use of other forms of energy is within the scope of this standard but the influence of the non-electrical parts on the electrical parts has to be taken into consideration. Does not apply to continuous process multi-purpose cooking pans for the mass production of food. Covers protection against electric shock, electrical insulation and leakage current at operating temperature, moisture resistance, insulation resistance and electric strength, overload protection, abnormal operation, stability and mechanical hazards, mechanical strength, construction and more.
