Provides guidelines for implementation of effective respiratory protective device programs for protection against either non respirable atmospheres or those containing airborne materials at concentrations which may threaten health, safety or welfare. Applies to some respiratory devices intended only for escape, but does not provide complete guidelines for such devices, although the principles of selection, use and maintenance usually apply.
