Procedures for reducing the inspection effort on products submitted by those suppliers who have demonstrated their ability to control, in an effective manner, all facets of product quality. This procedure extends to the inspection of lots the same principle of random selection already applied within Part 1 (formerly BS 6001:1972) to the individuals comprising the lot. The skip-lot procedures are designed to be used with the attribute lot-by-lot plans given in Part 1.
