This part of BS 7971 specifies general requirements and test methods for protective clothing and equipment for use in violent situations and associated training activities.
Requirements for marking and for information to be supplied with the clothing or equipment are also specified.
This part of BS 7971 is intended only for use with the part of BS 7971 which specifies the particular requirements for a specific type of protective clothing or equipment.
