This standard specifies requirements for 12 volt sealed beam headlamp units for use on vehicles, and tests for photometric properties, visual aim, current, life and resistance to thermal shock.
NOTE In general, the inch dimensions given in this specification are the standard.
Where dimensions are given in both systems, the first figure is the standard and the second is an approximate conversion. For accurate conversions reference should be made to BS 350, “Conversion factors and tables??.
