Defines the technical requirements to minimise the hazards listed in Clause 4 which can arise during the commissioning, operation and maintenance of container/pallet dollies and loose load trailers when carried out in accordance with the specifications given by the manufacturer or his authorised representative.

This European Standard specifies safety requirements for all types of dollies and loose load trailers intended to be used for transportation of baggage and cargo on airports. (Examples see Annex A). This European Standard does not apply to: - trailers of similar design as for use on public roads, e.g. truck type trailers; - unmodified automotive parts when used on container/pallet dollies or loose load trailers for the purpose for which they are designed.
