Defines two dissolution methods for determining the resin, reinforcement-fibre and mineral-filler contents of moulding compounds and prepregs - Method A - Extraction by Soxhlet - this method is for reference, in cases of dispute; and Method B - Extraction by immersion in solvent in a beaker. This uses simpler apparatus, making it appropriate for quality assurance testing. Applies to prepregs made from yarns, tapes, rovings and fabrics and SMC, BMC and DMC moulding compounds.
