Defines a procedure for determining the viscosity number of dilute solutions of thermoplastic polyesters (TPs) in certain defined solvents. Applies to poly(ethylene terephthalate)(PET), poly(butylene terephthalate)(PBT), poly- (cyclohexylenedimethylene terephthalate) (PCT), and poly (ethylene naphthalate) (PEN), in addition to copolyesters and other polyesters, specified in ISO 7792-1, which are soluble in one of the specific solvents under the specific conditions.
