Paper, board and pulps. Measurement of diffuse blue reflectance factor (ISO brightness)
Hardcopy , PDF

Gives a method for measuring the diffuse blue reflectance factor (ISO brightness) of papers, pulps and boards. It is limited to white and near-white papers, pulps and boards. Materials exhibiting fluorescence which promotes the appearance of whiteness may be measured but the ultraviolet energy level of the illumination must be adjusted with a fluorescent calibration standard if standardization and agreement between instruments is to be achieved.
