    Provides the appropriate vocabulary for seals utilizing elastomeric sealing elements where the terms and definitions given in ISO 5598 apply.

    This part of ISO6194 establishes the appropriate vocabulary for seals utilizing elastomeric sealing elements where the terms and definitions given in ISO5598 apply. These seals are considered suitable for use under low-pressure conditions (see ISO6194-1:2007, 6.1).

    NOTE ISO6194 is complementary to ISO16589, which covers seals incorporating thermoplastic sealing elements.
