    Defines uniform requirements for accurate and reliable measurements, by means of the optical spectrum analyzer method, of the following OA parameters: Signal-spontaneous noise figure, forward amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) power level, as defined in clause 3 of IEC 61291-1. The methods described apply to single-channel stimulus only.
