Der Phantomfallversuch nach dieser Norm dient zur Ermittlung des Verhaltens von Sicherheitsscheiben für Fahrzeugverglasung bei stossartigem Auftreffen eines stumpfen massigen Körpers. Die Versuchsergebnisse lassen nur bedingt Rückschlüsse auf das Verhalten der Sicherheitsscheibe im eingebauten Zustand zu.
